NASW-Student Organization
The Social Work Department has an active student organization named NASW-SO, or National Association of Social Workers, Student Organization. Students may join the organization as soon as they declare social work or pre-social work as their major. The officers plan many activities for students related to social work and have at least monthly meetings. Professor Beth Webb is the faculty advisor for the organization.
Phi Alpha Honor Society
Social Work also has an honorary society named Phi Alpha. Phi Alpha inducts superior students junior and senior year. Students must apply and meet GPA criteria. Dr. Michael Thull is the faculty advisor for our Phi Alpha chapter.
