Dr. Yarneccia D. Dyson Reappointed as CO-chair of hte CSWE Council on Racial, Ethnic, and Cultural Diversity

Dr. Dyson has been reappointed as co-chair of the CSWE Council on Racial, Ethnic, and Cultural Diversity for a 1-year term effective July 1, 2019—June 30, 2020 and as a regular member for a 2-year term effective July 1, 2020—June 30, 2022. 

As the Senior Co-Chair of the Council on Racial, Ethnic, and Cultural Diversity she will serve as the representative on the Commission on Diversity and Social and Economic Justice.

The Council on Racial, Ethnic, and Cultural Diversity is a council of the Commission for Diversity and Social and Economic Justice.

The Council initiates new activities and programs related to ethnic minority groups in social work education and promotes research into issues relevant to minority educators, students, and alumni.

In striving to address all issues related to minorities in social work education, the council facilitates communication between a wide variety of minority social work educator groups and CSWE.

It also provides recommended policies, consultation, and advice for the Board of Directors and CSWE staff.
